The Beginning
The group was officially established as part of Sudanese Youth Union activity in Al-Dubbat and Abu Kadouk in Omdurman. It began by offering simple treatment services at Ibrahim Soumit School.

Daoud Research Group grew from simple community healthcare activities in Omdurman into a Sudanese charitable organization focused on scientific research, health awareness, training, and free medical service.

Since its earliest activities, Daoud Research Group has worked to connect medical knowledge with practical service. The group supports scientific research, raises health awareness, provides training opportunities for healthcare professionals, and reaches patients in underserved and rural communities.
Development Roadmap

1992
Specialized Clinics
The clinics developed into more specialized medical work, especially in Internal Medicine, and the group started its first medical research activities in Omdurman.
1995
Neurology and Psychiatry
The charitable neurology clinic expanded with specialists in Neurology, Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine. Patient numbers grew and the research activity became more visible.
2010
Major Expansion
Health activities moved to Osman Saleh Health Center in East Bant, Omdurman. The group also developed a larger center with a lecture hall, service clinic, weekly lectures, and regular research meetings.
Now
Continuing the Mission
After the war in Sudan, the group temporarily continued activities from Egypt, maintaining scientific lectures, seminars, and periodic research meetings.

Free Clinical Care
The weekly charitable clinic receives patients from across Sudan, supports neurology and psychiatric care, and provides medicine free of charge when available.
Medical Convoys
The group organized health and awareness convoys to cities and rural areas including Sennar, Madani, Kosti, Atbara, Merowe, El Obeid, and other regions.
Academic Supervision
More than 80 doctoral research projects have been supervised through the group, alongside seminars, university activities, and research training.
Scientific Publications
The group has published more than 150 scientific papers and participated in local, regional, and international neurology conferences.
